MEET OUR Team

Jason Carter, CPA

Jason Carter, CPA is the founder of Health Crunch CPA, with 15+ years of hands-on accounting and finance experience across healthcare and not-for-profits, tech/e-commerce, manufacturing/retail, and construction. He’s built end-to-end finance functions:three-way forecasting, cash-flow planning, board-ready reporting, audit-ready books, grant and funder compliance, and operational dashboards that help leaders make better decisions.

His journey into healthcare and mission-driven finance is deeply personal. Having relied on essential health and community services for his mental, physical, and emotional well-being, Jason saw firsthand how financial stability sustains impact. That experience inspired him to use his expertise to support the very systems that supported him.

Today, Jason focuses on community health centres, social-service agencies, treatment centres and nonprofits because he believes finance should be a force multiplier for good. Through Health Crunch, he’s building something bigger than himself: a values-driven fractional finance team that equips frontline organizations with the structure, clarity, and confidence.

Ren Carter is a seasoned financial professional with over 15 years of experience in banking, technology, public practice, and infrastructure management. As senior leader at Health Crunch CPA, she brings deep expertise in financial leadership, risk management, and cloud-based accounting solutions tailored for healthcare organizations.

Her passion lies in helping healthcare providers make data-driven financial decisions, ensuring that clinics, wellness businesses, and nonprofits have the tools to scale efficiently and sustainably.

Outside of Work: Ren enjoys horseback riding, skiing, and hosting dinner parties. She’s an avid reader and outdoor enthusiast who loves creating meaningful experiences with loved ones.
